PeachBelt Conference uses EnSURE™ Touch to protect student athletes

The PeachBelt Conference, an NCAA Division II association of collegiate teams in four southern states, is preparing for a safe return of student athletes to its member schools. Part of those preparations include rigorous cleaning and disinfection of facilities, and using EnSURE™ Touch ATP monitoring to verify their cleaning efforts.

The conference consists of 12 schools, in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Sports include football, basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, golf, track and field, and others. Men's and women's teams are represented in the conference.

PBC commissioner David Brunk said, "We wanted to do something tangible to support our schools and create the safest environment for our student-athletes to return. After speaking with some of our corporate partners who are experts in these areas, we knew that the best thing we could do to help is provide these misting machines to sanitize surfaces as well as testing machines and swabs to ensure that the levels of organic material were below CDC thresholds."

The conference purchased misting sanitizer that will adhere to any surface, as well as a Hygiena ATP luminometer and UltraSnap testing swabs.

EnSURE Touch helps keep reopened Eiffel Tower clean

eiffel tower reopening coronavirus covid 19 pandemic lockdown

Europe is beginning to reopen after closing from the COVID-19 outbreak, but under strict rules about hygiene and monitoring cleanliness. Cafes and restaurants are open, outside and with distancing restrictions in place. Famous museums are starting to allow visits, too. And the Parisian icon, the Eiffel Tower, has reopened its lower (stair accessible) levels, with the help of Hygiena's EnSURE™ Touch Monitoring System. This CNN International story highlights how Paris is reopening, and follows a staff member as he cleans and uses EnSURE Touch to monitor telescopes, plexiglass and other surfaces at the Tour Eiffel.

In an article published in Hospitality Technology, Hygiena CEO Steven Nason outlines new cleaning and monitoring needs for hospitals and eateries. To reduce the risk of SARS-Cov2 and other infections, ATP monitoring can verify that cleaning efforts (especially under new guidelines from the World Health Organization and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) are effective.
